Near the summit of Mount Evans there lies a pristine lake where I took in this scene. In this painting I sought to capture the seemingly flowing motion of the topography. Together with the melting snowpack, the massive rocks and grasses appear to flow in cascading falls of land and water, ending in the frigid waters.
