Sisterhood is a playful abstract piece measuring 12 x 16 inches, matted, created using encaustic wax monotype on Japanese rice paper. The flowing lines and curving black stripes convey a sense of movement, femininity and rhythm. Interspersed among these lines are vivid colors—yellow, green, orange, and blue—that add vibrancy and fluidity to the composition.
In the background, soft, mottled lighter colors, along with hints of red and orange circles, provide depth and contrast. The overall design embodies organic energy, and was created to evoke a sense of emotional support and unity.
The artwork is produced by melting giant beeswax crayons on a hot plate, with the design formed using a variety of tools and then transferred onto the rice paper. Each piece is a unique creation, signed by the artist, and is easy to frame. The work is shipped free within the US and Canada.
This encaustic wax monotype on Japanese paper is mounted on a simple mat-board frame in a protective plastic sleeve.
